2-inch LCD smart watch for everyday fitness

The Redmi Watch 5 Active pairs a 2-inch square LCD with a matte-finish frame and over 200 dial choices via the Mi Fitness app. It targets users who want a lightweight wrist companion for daily activity tracking and smartphone notifications. Silicone band keeps it comfortable through long wear.

Pair once in the Mi Fitness app and wear

Bluetooth pairing is a single step in the companion app; the watch then syncs data and pushes calls automatically. The touch screen responds to taps and swipes for menu navigation. The only common snag is forgetting to grant notification access on the phone, which blocks alerts until the permission is enabled.

Bluetooth link and 5ATM rating set the boundaries

The watch relies on a Bluetooth tether to the phone for calls, music control and notification relay, so it cannot operate independently beyond stored workouts. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres under ISO 22810:2010, suitable for rain, handwashing and pool swimming but not for diving or high-velocity water sports. Battery life reaches up to 18 days in typical usage from the 470mAh cell.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 2-inch LCD is responding correctly after pairing with my phone?

The display shows live heart-rate and blood-oxygen readings, and the Mi Fitness app pushes one of the 200-plus watch faces to the screen once Bluetooth pairing finishes.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The watch with its silicone band and a charging cable are included; you need a compatible smartphone and the Mi Fitness app to complete setup.

Which version of the Redmi Watch 5 Active should I pick for the longest typical use between charges?

The single 470 mAh battery model delivers up to 18 days of typical usage, so there is no separate capacity option to choose.
