Artist Pro 15.4 display tablet

The XP Pen Artist Pro 15.4 is a pen display with a 15.4-inch full-laminated screen that reduces parallax between nib and cursor. It delivers 16384 pressure levels and ±60° tilt through the battery-free X3 Pro Smart Chip Stylus. The panel covers 99% sRGB, 96% Adobe RGB and 96% Display P3 at 1920×1080 resolution. Creative professionals and students connect it to Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS or Android devices via USB-C.

Thermals noise and power

The unit draws power directly from the host over USB-C, so no external power supply is required and there are no fans to generate noise. The anti-glare glass surface is rated at 250 cd/m² brightness with adjustable levels to reduce eye strain during long sessions. A foldable stand is included for angled use, and the slim profile keeps the workspace cool and quiet. Normal operation stays silent and cool to the touch.

Upgrade path and value

This model replaces earlier Artist Pro displays that topped out at lower pressure sensitivity and used multi-cable connections. The jump is worth it for artists who need single-cable simplicity, 16K pressure granularity and the wider 96% Adobe RGB coverage for print work. Buyers who need a larger canvas or standalone operation without a host device should look elsewhere. The included Red Dial and eight express keys accelerate frequent shortcuts.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the tablet using the single USB-C cable, and which port requirement do people overlook?

Use the full-function USB-C to USB-C cable included; the host port must support USB 3.1 DP 1.2 for video and data, otherwise the display will not activate.

Which consumable part will need replacing first, and how many spares are in the box?

The pen nibs wear first; eight replacement nibs are supplied with the pen holder.

At what sustained brightness does the screen cap out, and what does that mean for outdoor use?

Brightness tops out at 250 cd/m², so the anti-glare glass helps indoors but the panel is too dim for direct sunlight.
