Compact drawing tablet for digital creators

The XP-Pen Star G640 provides a 6 by 4 inch active area with 8192 pressure levels for drawing, sketching and handwritten notes. It connects through a USB-A port and works with Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.10 or later and Chrome OS 88 or later. The battery-free PN01 stylus removes the need for charging and supports uninterrupted creative sessions.

Passive cooling and low power draw

The tablet draws power directly from the USB connection so no external adapter is required during normal use. With no moving parts or fans the device runs silently and stays cool even during extended drawing or teaching sessions. The slim 2 mm profile adds negligible weight to a laptop bag.

Durable build with replaceable nibs

The package includes 20 replacement nibs and a nib clip so the stylus tip can be swapped without tools. A USB cable and quick start guide are also supplied for immediate setup. The compact footprint fits beside a keyboard on small desks and the USB-A plug works with standard ports or common adapters.

Questions about this item

How do I install the StarG640 and what step do people often miss?

Plug the USB cable into a USB-A port; the driver installs automatically on Windows 7 and above, Mac OS X 10.10 or later and Chrome OS 88 or later, but many users forget to run the installer before first use.

What maintenance will the PN01 stylus need later?

The package includes 20 replacement nibs and a nib clip; swap a nib when it feels rough or the tip wears down.

What limit appears first during long drawing sessions?

The active area is 6 x 4 inches, so extended strokes require frequent pen lifts once you reach the edge.
