Genius MousePen M508W wireless tablet

The Genius MousePen M508W is a cordless graphics tablet built for artists and designers who want a natural drawing feel without a cable. It uses 2.4 GHz wireless technology so you can work from a sofa or across the room. The active area measures 8 by 5 inches and the pen delivers 1024 pressure levels at 4000 lpi resolution.

Build quality and daily connections

The tablet body is 11.7 by 10 by 0.91 inches and finished in gray. A USB receiver links the pen and included cordless mouse to the computer with a 200 pps data rate. Four express keys give one-touch access to desktop, flip 3D, next page and previous page, while 13 programmable keys can be mapped to shortcuts. A pen clip keeps the stylus secure when moving around.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that a free USB port is available for the wireless receiver and that your operating system supports standard tablet input. The 8 by 5 inch active area suits detailed illustration but may feel small for broad strokes on large monitors. Buyers who need a larger drawing surface or higher pressure sensitivity should consider other models.
