Compact drawing tablet for mobile creators

The XPPEN VB960 provides a 9 x 5.6 inch active area in a 9 mm thin profile that fits easily in a laptop bag. It connects through a single USB Type-C cable and works with both right- and left-handed setups. The battery-free stylus delivers 8192 pressure levels and includes a built-in eraser for a natural drawing feel.

Suited for artists who need portability

Designers who rely on multi-touch gestures, on-screen display feedback or wireless freedom will not find those features here. The eight physical shortcut keys are fixed in layout, so users who prefer fully mappable radial menus or touch strips should consider other form factors.

8192 pressure levels decide the precision

This single specification determines how finely the tablet captures light strokes and heavy presses. If your workflow demands finer granularity than 8192 levels, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the VB960 generate noticeable heat or fan noise during long drawing sessions?

The VB960 has no fan and no moving parts, so it runs silently and stays at room temperature even after hours of continuous use.

What computer port must I already have to connect the VB960?

You need an available USB Type-C port on the computer to plug in the tablet.

Will the 8192 pressure levels still register correctly if I keep using an older graphics tablet driver on the same machine?

The VB960 requires its own XPPEN driver; installing that driver does not remove the older tablet driver, so both devices can coexist and each will report its native pressure range.
