XSEED Games Loop8: Summer Of Gods 82378 xbox one video game

A coming-of-age RPG set in 1983 Japan

Step into the life of Nini, a newly earthbound teen who arrives in the quaint Japanese town of Ashihara during August 1983. Explore the town and befriend its people while facing off against the Kegai in turn-based battles. Outcomes depend on the relationships you have built and the decisions you have made throughout the journey.

Players who value narrative choices

This title suits players who enjoy character-driven stories where social bonds directly influence combat effectiveness. The time-loop mechanic allows Nini and his allies to relive the month repeatedly until they succeed. Buyers seeking pure action gameplay or extensive character customisation options should look elsewhere.

Turn-based combat driven by social bonds

The core specification is a battle system where results hinge on the friendships formed and choices made during exploration. Nini uses a special connection to the gods to reset the world, creating new opportunities to alter events. Each loop provides fresh chances to strengthen alliances and overcome the Kegai threat.
