  • CP860 expansion microphone extends conference system coverage

Yealink CP860 Expansion Microphone

The Yealink CP860 Expansion Microphone adds extended voice pickup to compatible conference phones. It captures clear audio within a 10-foot range using Optima HD voice and full duplex technology. This accessory is intended for meeting rooms that require broader coverage than a single base unit provides. It is not suited for users who need a standalone microphone with its own connection.

Thermals noise and power draw

The passive microphone element generates no audible noise and produces negligible heat during operation. Power is supplied directly through the host conference phone, so the accessory adds no measurable draw to the room's power budget. No active cooling or external power adapter is required for normal use.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the CP860 expansion microphone to my conference phone, and what is the common mistake to avoid?

The CP860 connects via the dedicated expansion microphone port on compatible Yealink conference phones. A common mistake is plugging it into the headset or line port instead of the labelled EXT MIC jack.

What maintenance or replacement will the CP860 expansion microphone need over time?

The CP860 has no user-serviceable parts or batteries. Maintenance is limited to keeping the microphone grille free of dust. If the unit or its cable suffers physical damage, the entire microphone assembly would need replacement.
