Yealink MVC BYOD Extender 1303113

The Yealink MVC BYOD Extender connects bring-your-own-device laptops to Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms kits. It uses a supplied 7.5 m CAT5e cable and provides RJ-45 and USB interfaces for the link. The unit is built for meeting-room installations that need a wired BYOD connection.

Suits rooms that need a wired BYOD link to a Teams

Buyers who need wireless presentation, multi-device switching or HDMI capture should look at other solutions. The extender does not add network switching, audio DSP or camera control beyond the BYOD path. It is a single-purpose link device for the specified room kits.

328-foot range over CAT5e

The extender carries signals up to 328 feet over the included CAT5e cable, determining whether the unit can span the distance between the table and the room kit. Exceeding this length will break the link. The 7.5 m cable covers short runs; longer runs need additional CAT5e within the 328-foot limit.

Questions about this item

Do I need a Yealink MVC Teams or Zoom Rooms kit already installed for this BYOD Extender to function?

Yes, the extender is designed to work with existing Yealink MVC kits for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms; it cannot operate as a standalone conferencing unit.

Will the supplied 7.5m CAT5e cable reach my table if the MVC kit is mounted 328 feet away?

The extender supports a maximum range of 328 feet, but the included cable is only 7.5 metres long; longer runs require additional cabling.

How can I confirm the extender is actively sharing content after I connect my laptop via USB?

When the USB link is live, the meeting room display will show your laptop screen and the extender's status LED indicates an active BYOD session.
