30 x 40 ft heavy-duty tarp

This 30 x 40 ft polyethylene tarp provides a strong and durable shelter from sunlight, rain and dust. It is built for agricultural, construction, automotive and outdoor recreational use where large-area coverage is required. The reversible silver and black design serves different seasonal needs.

Upgrade from standard lightweight tarps

A 10-mil thickness and triple-coated lamination replace thinner single-layer sheets that tear quickly in wind. The jump is worth it when the cover must survive repeated tensioning, seasonal exposure or heavy debris without developing leaks at the seams or grommet points.

Sustained load performance

Aluminium grommets spaced at 3 1/4 ft intervals distribute tie-down forces evenly across the 40.54 lb sheet. Seamless edges prevent water ingress during prolonged rain, while the UV-resistant coating resists degradation over a multi-year service life rather than a single season.

Questions about this item

How much clear space is needed to lay out the 30 by 40 foot tarp?

The finished size is 348 inches long, so allow at least that much open ground plus room for the grommet spacing of 3 1/4 feet along each side.

What is the most common mistake when securing the tarp with the aluminum grommets?

Skipping the reinforced PP-capped corners and tying only to the intermediate grommets spaced at 1 metre intervals, which concentrates wind load and tears the 10-mil material.

When will the tarp need replacement under normal outdoor exposure?

The manufacturer rates the anti-aging performance for up to three years of continuous sunlight, rain and dust before the PE lamination degrades.
