12 x 20 ft Heavy-Duty Poly Tarp

This 12 x 20 ft silver and black poly tarp provides a strong and durable shelter from sunlight, rain and dust. It is built from 100% virgin PE material with triple-coated lamination for double-sided use. The 14-mil thickness and aluminum grommets spaced at 3 1/4 ft intervals deliver extra tear resistance. Weighing 10.8 lbs, it suits camping, painting, equipment covers and general outdoor protection.

Check Measurements and Fixing Points

Verify that the 12 x 20 ft dimensions fully cover the intended area with enough overhang for secure tie-down. Ensure you have suitable anchor points such as poles, frames or eye bolts to use the aluminum grommets. Confirm the silver and black colour scheme meets any site or aesthetic requirements before ordering.

Replaces Thinner Single-Layer Tarps

This tarp upgrades from lighter single-layer sheets that tear easily and degrade quickly under UV exposure. The 14-mil construction with reinforced corners and seamless edges resists water leakage and black staining in wet weather. The jump is worth it when you need a cover rated for up to 3 years of service across multiple seasons.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 x 20 ft tarp come with tie-down ropes or bungee cords, or must I buy them separately?

The package includes the 14-mil poly tarp with aluminum grommets spaced every 3 1/4 ft and reinforced PP-capped corners; ropes, bungees or clips are not included and must be purchased separately.

How do I decide between the 14-mil weight and lighter or heavier versions for a 12 x 20 ft cover?

Choose the 14-mil version when you need extra heavy-duty tear resistance and a projected life of up to 3 years; lighter mils suit short-term dust covers, while heavier mils add weight without more UV protection.

What does the 14-mil thickness mean for real-world durability on a 12 x 20 ft tarp?

At 14 mil the sheet weighs 10.8 lbs, resists tearing at the 1 m grommet spacing, blocks UV and water through triple-coated virgin PE, and is rated for up to 3 years of continuous outdoor exposure.
