Connects 2.5-inch rear backplanes to the main I2C bus in PowerEdge R720XD servers using a 10-pin flat cable
This 10-pin signal cable connects the 2.5-inch rear backplane to the main backplane in a PowerEdge R720XD. It carries I2C management data between the two boards so the server can monitor drive status and enclosure health. The part is new and matches the Dell RTHTV 0RTHTV specification.
Under continuous operation the cable maintains a stable I2C link without the intermittent drops that can appear on worn or mismatched leads. Builders who need a different pin count, a longer reach or a cable for another chassis will have to source a separate assembly.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable is a passive signal assembly with no active components, so it produces no heat or noise while the server runs all day.
You need a Dell PowerEdge R720XD with a 2.5-inch backplane that uses the 10-pin I2C interface between the rear and main backplanes.
