10-piece BlueNano carbide cutter set

This 10-piece set supplies 3.175 mm shank compression bits with 22 mm cutting length and 45 mm overall length. They are made from tungsten steel for CNC routing of wood, plywood, density board, solid wood and particleboard. The up-and-down flute geometry reduces tear-out on both faces of the workpiece. Intended for industrial cutting only and not for anyone under 18 years old.

Up-and-down flute geometry

Each bit combines up-cut and down-cut spirals in a single tool so the upper flutes pull chips away from the top surface while the lower flutes press the bottom surface down. This compression action produces clean edges on double-sided laminates and veneers without needing separate roughing and finishing passes. The BlueNano coating on the tungsten steel substrate reduces friction and heat during prolonged cuts.

Right-angle drill compatibility

The 3.175 mm shank fits standard right-angle drill chucks and CNC collets of the same diameter. No adapters are required if the machine accepts this shank size. Common issues arise when the collet is worn or oversized, allowing the bit to slip under load, or when feed rates exceed the tool’s chip-load capacity, causing premature edge wear or breakage.
