This set contains ten tungsten-steel compression cutters designed for CNC router tables. They are aimed at hobbyists and small-shop operators who cut sheet goods such as plywood, MDF, particleboard and solid wood. 6 mm Shank with 17 mm Cutting Length

Each cutter has a 6 mm shank diameter and a 17 mm flute length, so the machine collet must accept 6 mm shanks and the programmed cut depth must not exceed 17 mm. The right-hand spiral, two-flute design requires a spindle that rotates clockwise. Buyers whose collets are 1/4 inch or 8 mm, or who need longer reach, cannot use these bits without adapters or different tooling.

Direct Collet Fit — Check Rotation and Depth

Installation is a simple collet change: insert the 6 mm shank fully, tighten securely and verify clockwise rotation before cutting. The most common errors are running the spindle counter-clockwise, which snaps the carbide, and setting a pass deeper than 17 mm, which causes deflection and poor finish. Keep the tool away from anyone under 18 years old.
