Dual-Frequency RFID Access Reader
This USB proximity sensor reads both 125KHz and 13.56MHz credentials, making it suitable for access-control systems that must support legacy and modern cards. It connects directly to a PC and outputs the card serial number as automatic keyboard input, requiring no driver installation on Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Windows 7.
Driverless USB Metal Enclosure
The reader draws DC 5V power from the USB port, eliminating the need for an external supply, and its metal chain-guard housing is rated for entrance use. A 106Kbit/s communication speed and a 5-8cm read range allow quick badge presentation, while the operating range of -10 to 70 degrees Celsius supports indoor or sheltered outdoor mounting.
Replaces Separate Single-Frequency Units
Installations that currently run one reader for 125KHz cards and another for 13.56MHz cards can consolidate to this single device, reducing cabling and USB port consumption. The upgrade is worthwhile when a site issues mixed credential types or plans to migrate card technologies without replacing door hardware.
