Product Identity
The YINGHUA IDReader02 is a USB proximity sensor that reads 125Khz EM4100 RFID cards and tags. It connects directly to a PC without an external power supply and outputs the first ten decimal digits of each card by default.
Accessories And Software Impact
The device is driverless for Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Windows 7, so it works immediately after plugging in. A built‑in buzzer and a diagnostic power LED give instant audible and visual feedback during operation. The 90 g unit includes a USB cable and has a waterproof hard‑plastic housing rated for -10 °C to 70 °C.
Who This Suits And Who Should Look Elsewhere
This reader suits integrators building access‑control, hotel‑lock or utility‑meter systems that use 125 Khz EM4100 credentials and need a compact USB interface. It does not suit buyers who need to read other frequencies or card formats, who require a longer read range than 5‑8 cm, or who need the last eight decimal digits without a custom firmware request.

Questions about this item
Will the USB cable need replacement if it frays from daily access-control use?
The reader draws DC 5 V (+/-5 %) directly from the USB port, so a damaged cable can be swapped for any standard USB lead without an external power supply.
What limits continuous scanning at the 106 Kbit/s communication speed?
The EM4100 cards must stay within the 5–8 cm read zone; beyond that distance the reader cannot power the tag and throughput drops to zero.
Does the built-in buzzer or LED add noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?
Operating temperature is rated -10 °C to 70 °C with only a diagnostic LED and buzzer, so heat and audible output remain minimal in typical indoor use.
