2.5" SATA to USB 3.0 Enclosure

The YINGHUA enclosure converts a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD into a portable USB 3.0 storage device. A tool-free design lets you install or swap drives without screws. The aluminum alloy housing provides passive cooling and a wire-drawn finish. A blue USB Type-C OTG adapter is included for direct file transfers with compatible mobile phones.

For laptop upgrades and mobile data exchange

Suitable for users expanding notebook storage or moving large media files between Windows and Mac systems. The JMS578 chip supports SATA I, II and III drives up to 10 TB capacity. Hot-swap and plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation. Builders needing 3.5-inch drive support or an internal mounting solution should consider a different form factor.

USB 3.0 interface with SATA 6 Gbps link

The external USB 3.0 connection is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 hosts. Internal 7+15-pin SATA interface handles the drive link at up to 6 Gbps theoretical throughput. A 45 cm cable and protective pouch are supplied in the package.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a SATA drive separately?

The enclosure ships with a USB 3.0 cable, a USB 3.0 Type‑C OTG adapter and a pouch. You must supply your own 2.5‑inch SATA HDD or SSD up to 10TB.

Which colour option should I choose for this model?

This listing is for the Blue variant; Black, Silver and Red are also available if you prefer a different finish.

What does the 6Gbps headline speed mean when I connect a SATA III SSD?

The JMS578 bridge supports SATA III at 6Gbps, so a SATA III SSD can reach its full native transfer rate over the USB 3.0 link.
