4-Channel Audio Fiber Extender

This digital transceiver sends four balanced audio channels over a single SC fiber link up to twenty kilometres. It uses 24-bit ninety-six kilohertz sampling to preserve fidelity across the link. The unit is built for professional audio distribution in venues, classrooms, medical facilities and broadcast environments.

SC Fiber Integration

The extender requires a single-mode SC fiber cable between the local and remote units and a US mains plug for power. Balanced XLR connectors handle the four input and output channels with ten kilohm input and six hundred ohm output impedances. Optical transmission removes ground-loop hum and electromagnetic interference from the signal path.

Sustained Operation

Synchronous digital transmission and automatic optical dynamic adjustment keep the link stable without manual tuning during long sessions. The fiber medium eliminates radio-frequency and ground-current noise even in harsh electromagnetic surroundings. Signal amplitude remains unity across the full twenty-kilometre span.

Questions about this item

How far can the audio signal travel over a single SC fiber before quality drops?

The extender transmits four channels up to 20 km on standard SC fiber, with an optional range up to 120 km.

Does the unit generate noticeable heat or fan noise during continuous 24-hour operation?

No fan is present; the passive optical design runs silently and produces negligible heat even under sustained use.

What connectors must my audio gear already have to plug directly into this extender?

Your sources and destination equipment need balanced XLR ports to match the extender’s 10 kΩ input and 600 Ω output interfaces.
