HDMI fibre KVM extender for 20 km links

This HDMI fibre KVM extender carries video and control signals up to 20 kilometres over a single-mode SC fibre. It targets installers who need long-distance transmission between a source such as a PC, laptop or DVR and a remote display without signal degradation.

Passive cooling with 5 V 2 A supply

The units draw 5 V at 2 A from the included AU plug adapter and run without fans, so operation stays silent in monitoring rooms or classrooms. Ambient conditions of 0 to 70 °C and 10 to 80 % relative humidity are supported for continuous use.

Metal enclosure with SC loop-out

A rugged metal chassis provides EMI resistance for stable links in electrically noisy environments. The SC single-fibre interface and local HDMI loop-out let you connect a local monitor while extending the signal, and the driver-free design works across operating systems immediately.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the SC single-mode fiber and avoid the loop-out mix-up?

Connect the transmitter HDMI source and the receiver display, then run one single-mode fiber with SC connectors between the units; the transmitter loop-out duplicates the source locally — do not plug the display into the loop-out port.

What power supply will I need to replace if the original fails?

A 5 V DC supply rated for 2 A with the same barrel connector and AU plug.

At what distance does the 1080p 60 Hz signal hit its limit?

The extender is rated for 20 km over single-mode SC fiber; beyond that the HDMI 1.3 link loses sync.
