Questions about this item

How do I install the H240AS-00 into an OptiPlex 3010 SFF, and which step is often missed?

Slide the unit into the chassis until the latch clicks, then press the main 24-pin and 4-pin CPU connectors firmly until they seat; the step most often missed is fully engaging the latch before connecting cables.

What maintenance will the 240 W SFF supply need over time in a 790 or 990 system?

Clean the intake vents every few months with compressed air to prevent dust build-up on the internal fan; replace the unit if fan noise increases or voltages drift under load.
