Four-Channel Audio Fibre Extender

This YINGHUA unit sends four balanced audio channels over a single SC fibre link up to 20 km. It uses 24-bit, 96 kHz digital sampling to maintain high-fidelity sound. The extender suits broadcast, conference, education and installed-audio applications that require long-distance, interference-free transmission.

UK Mains Power Included

A UK plug power supply ships with each transceiver so the kit is ready for UK mains without an adapter. Balanced XLR connectors on both ends preserve the 1:1 input-to-output amplitude ratio and match 10 kΩ input and 600 Ω output impedances. No field adjustment is needed because the optical dynamic circuit self-optimises.

20 km Default Reach

The standard configuration guarantees 20 km transmission on standard single-mode fibre, with optional models covering up to 120 km. This distance figure is the primary spec that determines whether the extender fits a given site. Buyers needing longer spans must select the extended-range variant.

Questions about this item

What maintenance or replacement will the SC fiber connectors need after long-term use?

The SC fiber connectors are passive optical interfaces with no moving parts or active components, so they require no scheduled maintenance or replacement under normal indoor operation.

Which limit appears first when running four balanced audio channels continuously at 24bit/96KHZ over the full 20Km distance?

The optical link budget for the 20Km SC fiber run is the first constraint; signal attenuation on the fiber itself determines maximum reliable distance before any electronic headroom is reached.

How much heat or noise does the transceiver produce when powered from the UK plug and transmitting all four channels all day?

The unit uses high-speed synchronous digital transmission with no fan or moving parts, so it generates minimal heat and operates silently during continuous 24/7 use.
