Four-port VGA KVM for desk consolidation

This YINGHUA KVM switch lets one VGA monitor, keyboard and mouse control four computers without extra software. USB power drawn from the host machines keeps the unit running, so no external adapter is required. A single push-button toggles the active system instantly. The compact ABS chassis measures 15.7 by 6.5 by 2.5 cm and includes 1.5 m integrated cables.

Maximum supported resolution 1920 x 1440

Video output is limited to 1920 x 1440, which covers standard office and legacy industrial displays. Higher-resolution panels will not display correctly through this switch. The USB 2.0 hub port handles keyboards, mice, printers, scanners and flash drives at full 2.0 speed. Compatibility spans DOS, Windows 95 through 10, Linux, Unix, NetWare and Mac OS.

Passive cooling and silent operation

With no fan or active components the switch runs completely silent and adds negligible heat to the desk. Power consumption is limited to the USB 2.0 bus current supplied by the connected computers. The 1.5 m cables keep the unit within easy reach while avoiding excess slack. No separate power brick means one less outlet used and no transformer hum.

Questions about this item

What does 1920 x 1440 mean for the monitor I connect?

That resolution is the highest the switch will pass through to a single VGA display when you have four computers attached.

Which USB standard is used and what does it limit?

USB 2.0 handles keyboard, mouse and printer traffic; the bus tops out at the 2.0 signalling rate so high-speed storage will run slower.

How much desk space and cable reach do I need?

The box measures 15.7 by 6.5 by 2.5 cm and each attached cable is 1.5 m long, so allow that depth plus slack behind the monitor.
