Compatibility with ThinkCentre M57 M58 M90 90P

The unit suits IT teams maintaining legacy desktop fleets or technicians restoring these specific workstations. It is not for builders needing higher wattage or different form factors.

Thermal and acoustic behaviour in normal use

The 240W rating matches the original design envelope for these ThinkCentre models. Power draw stays within the specified limit during typical office workloads. No additional thermal or acoustic data is provided by the supplier. Builders requiring detailed noise curves or efficiency figures should consult the original equipment documentation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240W unit into a ThinkCentre M57, and what step is often missed?

Slide the supply into the chassis until the latch clicks, then connect the main ATX and CPU power cables; the step often missed is securing the retention screw that locks the unit to the case frame.

What maintenance will the 45J9446 supply need over its life?

Clean the intake vents and fan blades with compressed air every six to twelve months to prevent dust build-up; the internal fan is the only moving part and may require replacement after several years of continuous operation.
