Replacement 250 W server power supply with 4-pin, 4-pin and 7-pin connectors, 100-240 V input and 168 mm length for compatible HP workstations
This 250W server power supply replaces the HP D16-250P2A and PCH022 units. It fits HP 480, 400 G4, 280, 282, 600 and 800 G3 desktops. The unit accepts 100-240V input at 50 or 60Hz. It is a new replacement part for those specific systems.
The PSU provides a 4Pin, a second 4Pin and a 7Pin connector for the motherboard. Builders whose boards use a different pin arrangement cannot use this unit. The chassis measures approximately 168mm in length, so cases with shorter bays will not accommodate it. It is not for servers or workstations outside the listed HP families.
The supply delivers a maximum of 250W total output. Systems configured with higher-wattage components that exceed this limit will need a different power source. Verify your build's peak draw against this 250W ceiling before purchasing.

This supply measures approximately 168 mm long and provides one 4‑pin, a second 4‑pin and a 7‑pin connector, matching the HP D16‑250P2A pinout used in the 400 G4 series.
Align the 7‑pin block first, press firmly until it clicks, then attach each 4‑pin plug; reversing the sequence can leave the 7‑pin partially seated and cause a no‑power condition.
Expect the fan to run continuously at 100‑240 V input; listen for bearing noise or reduced airflow after several years of 24/7 operation as a sign that replacement is due.
