800 W Flex Slot Platinum PSU for Gen9 Servers

This 800 W Flex Slot Platinum hot-plug power supply is designed for HPE Gen9 server platforms. It accepts part numbers 720479-B21, 723600-101 and 723599-001 as direct replacements. The unit targets administrators who need a high-efficiency, redundant power source for rack-mounted deployments.

Capacity and headroom

The 800 W rating supports typical dual-socket configurations with moderate GPU or storage density. Platinum efficiency reduces waste heat and operating cost under sustained loads. Systems requiring more than 800 W or non-Flex-Slot form factors will need a different power supply.

Questions about this item

Will the 800W Flex Slot Platinum PSU fit alongside the existing power supplies in my Gen9 server chassis?

The unit uses the Flex Slot form factor designed for Gen9 servers, so it installs in the same hot-plug bays as the original 720479-B21, 723600-101 or 723599-001 supplies without chassis changes.

How can I confirm the 800W Flex Slot Platinum PSU is operating correctly after installation?

After seating the supply, the server’s iLO or front-panel LEDs will show a green power-good status for that bay, and the system event log will record the new 800W unit as present and healthy.
