An 8-input composite RCA switcher that routes video and stereo audio from multiple DVD players, set-top boxes or game consoles to one display with push-button selection
The YINGHUA 8x1 composite RCA switch routes eight analogue audio-video sources to a single display or recorder. Push-button selection on the front panel lets users toggle between set-top boxes, DVD players, VCRs or legacy game consoles without re-cabling. The all-metal chassis provides shielding and durability for permanent rack or shelf installation in home, education or commercial AV setups.
The unit contains no active cooling and draws no external power, so it adds zero heat and zero audible noise to the installation. Signal paths remain fully passive, preserving the original composite video and stereo audio levels without amplification or conversion artefacts. Operation is limited to the voltage and current supplied by the connected source equipment.
A printed user manual explains the push-button mapping for each of the eight inputs and illustrates typical wiring for DVD, VCR, set-top box and game-console connections. No driver, firmware or configuration software is included or required, keeping deployment limited to physical cable routing and button presses. The package does not supply RCA cables, so installers must provide their own interconnects.

Connect up to eight source devices to the numbered RCA inputs using composite video and stereo audio cables, link the single RCA output to your display or recorder, then press the front push-button corresponding to the active source; the step users miss is verifying each source is powered on and playing content before switching.
The passive metal enclosure has no internal power supply or moving parts beyond the selector button, so no scheduled maintenance is required; only the external RCA cables may need replacement if connectors wear or cables are damaged.
Because the unit is entirely passive, sustained use does not create thermal or electronic limits; the first practical constraint is the composite video signal quality degrading if total cable runs between sources, switch, and display become excessively long.
