  • High-performance cooling keeps CPUs at safe temperatures
  • New condition ensures full thermal efficiency from day one
  • Direct-fit replacement simplifies server maintenance

Dell R740 and R740XD compatible cooler

This YINGHUA heatsink carries the TRJT7 part number and is built for the Dell PowerEdge R740 and R740XD server platforms. It provides the thermal interface required by those specific chassis and processor sockets. Builders working on other Dell models or non-Dell hardware should select a different cooler.

High-performance server thermal management

The cooler is engineered to handle the thermal loads typical of the supported R740 and R740XD configurations under normal operation. Its construction targets efficient heat dissipation within the constrained airflow paths of those 2U rackmount systems. Acoustic output and power draw remain consistent with standard server cooling expectations for this form factor.

Questions about this item

How is the TRJT7 heatsink installed in a Dell PowerEdge R740 or R740XD, and which step is often missed?

The TRJT7 mounts to the existing CPU socket retention frame using the supplied screws; the step often missed is applying fresh thermal compound before seating the cooler.

What maintenance will the TRJT7 heatsink need during its service life in a PowerEdge R740?

Periodically clean dust from the fin stack with compressed air and replace the thermal paste every two to three years to maintain thermal performance.
