Server Heatsink for PowerEdge R940

This heatsink is designed specifically for the Dell PowerEdge R940 server platform. It provides the thermal interface required for the system's CPU sockets. System integrators and IT technicians maintaining R940 infrastructure will find this part matches the original specification. It is not suited for desktop motherboards or other server chassis that use different mounting patterns or thermal profiles.

Direct-mount design for 1U/2U density

The unit mounts directly to the server board using the proprietary retention mechanism defined for the R940 family. This secure attachment ensures consistent pressure across the processor lid without additional brackets. The compact profile fits within the restricted airflow paths of dense rack enclosures. Technicians who need a taller tower cooler or a universal mounting kit should look elsewhere.
