HDMI 1x2/2x1 Bi-Directional Switch

This HDMI-compatible KVM switch routes one source to two displays or two sources to one display with a single button press. It supports 4K at 30 Hz, 1080p 3D and multi-channel audio up to LPCM 7.1. Plug-and-play operation requires no external driver or power supply.

Sustained Signal Stability

Data transmits at 5.1 Gbps with HDCP 1.2 compliance for protected content. The unit maintains a 24-bit colour depth over cable runs up to 40 metres using CAT6 or 25 metres with AWG24 HDMI leads. Input signals at 5.0 V peak-to-peak are handled without degradation during continuous use.

HDMI 2.0 30 Hz Constraint

Maximum video bandwidth is limited to 4K resolution at 30 Hz, so 4K 60 Hz sources will downscale. Buyers needing 4K 60 Hz, 8K or variable refresh rates should select a different switch.

Questions about this item

Does the 5 V DC power adapter stay cool when the switch runs all day?

The adapter outputs 5 V DC with a maximum operating current of 1500 mA, so it draws little power and generates minimal heat during continuous use.

Which cables and sources must I already have to use the bi‑directional 1×2/2×1 switch?

You need standard HDMI 2.0 cables — up to 25 m AWG24 or 20 m AWG26 — and either one source with two displays or two sources sharing one display.

Will the HDCP 1.2 handshake work with my older 1080p monitor and PS3?

Yes, the switch supports HDCP 1.2 and resolutions down to 480i, so it will pass signals from a PS3 or similar legacy device to an older 1080p display.
