Extends HDMI, USB keyboard and mouse signals up to 200 metres over Cat5e/6 cable with IR remote control
This HDMI KVM extender transmits video, audio and USB control signals up to 200 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It supports point-to-point, one-to-many and cascade topologies through a standard network switch. The pure-hardware design works without any driver installation. EU power adapters are included.
Operators who need a keyboard and mouse at a distant screen will find the USB extension and IR channel useful. Builders requiring 4K resolution, HDCP 2.2 or HDMI 2.0 bandwidth should look at a different product. Installations without a wired Ethernet path between endpoints cannot use this extender.
The link distance is limited to 200 metres over Cat5e/6 cabling following the 802.3 Ethernet standard. Video output is capped at 1080p with supported resolutions of 480p, 720p and 1080p. Audio sampling rates are 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz. IR control operates at 38 kHz NEC protocol.

Connect the HDMI source to the sender, link both units with a single Cat5e/6 cable up to 200 metres, plug the USB keyboard and mouse into the receiver, then apply the 5 V / 1 A DC adapters to both boxes; the step often missed is powering both the sender and receiver before expecting video.
The pure-hardware design has no firmware updates or software licences; only the two 5 V / 1 A power adapters or the Cat5e/6 patch cable may need replacement if they fail or are damaged.
The HDMI 1.3 chipset caps resolution at 1080p and audio at 48 kHz, so extended 4K or higher refresh rates cannot be transmitted regardless of cable quality or operating temperature.
