HDMI 1.4 Scaler with Component and VGA Outputs

This new YINGHUA KVM switch converts an HDMI 1.4 source up to 1080p into analogue component YPbPr, RGB over 5RCA, or VGA video. It also extracts stereo audio via RCA and digital audio through Toslink optical output. The unit supports both up-scaling and down-scaling with a 165 MHz bandwidth per channel.

Suits Legacy Displays; Not for Pure Digital Chains

Builders connecting a PS4, Xbox 360, Fire TV or similar HDMI device to an older component or VGA monitor will find this converter useful. It also serves users who need separate optical audio for an external DAC or amplifier. Buyers who require a direct digital HDMI-to-HDMI path or multi-port KVM switching should look elsewhere.

165 MHz Per-Channel Bandwidth Defines Compatibility

The scaler operates at 165 MHz and 1.65 Gbps per channel, totalling 6.75 Gbps across all channels. This specification determines which input resolutions up to 1080p can be processed and whether the OSD can display the desired output timing. Verify your source timing against this bandwidth before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the YINGHUA converter need an external power supply to operate?

Yes, the unit ships with a UK-plug power adapter that must be connected before the red indicator LED lights and the scaler begins converting the HDMI signal.

Will my 720p-only display accept the downscaled output from this 1080p scaler?

The built-in up/down scaler and OSD menu let you select output resolutions including 720p so the converter can match older displays that cannot handle 1080p.

How can I verify the scaler is passing both video and audio correctly after setup?

Check that the red power LED is lit, the OSD shows the chosen output resolution, video appears on the Component or VGA screen, and sound is heard through either the stereo RCA or Toslink optical output.
