U-shaped IC Extractor Clip

This U-shaped insulated clip removes integrated circuits from sockets without damaging pins. The stainless-steel body is coated with PVC for grip and electrical insulation. It suits hobbyists, students and technicians who service socketed ICs on circuit boards.

Check socketed ICs before use

Verify that the target chip sits in a socket and is not soldered directly to the board. The tool cannot extract soldered devices; desolder with hot air or an iron first. Ensure the clip jaws span the package width, roughly 40 mm, before ordering.

Thermals noise and power

The clip is a passive hand tool with no power draw, no fan and no heat generation. Operation is silent and adds no thermal load to the work area. Normal use produces no measurable temperature rise or acoustic output.
