125kHz USB RFID Reader for Access Control
This device reads EM4100 cards and tags at 125kHz and connects to a PC through a standard USB cable. It draws power directly from the port so no external supply is needed. The reader outputs the first ten decimal digits of each card by default and works driverless on Windows 2000, 2003, XP and 7. A built-in buzzer and LED give immediate feedback on every scan.
Plug-and-play desktop access, not outdoor mounting
The unit suits offices, hotels or utility-meter projects that need a simple desktop enrolment station. It is not weather-sealed for direct exterior installation and the 5 to 8 centimetre read range rules out long-distance or hands-free gate operation. Buyers who need a rugged outdoor keypad or a controller with relay outputs should look elsewhere.
USB interface decides compatibility
The sole connection is a USB-A plug that supplies both power and data at 106 Kbit/s. If the host system lacks a free USB-A port or cannot accept a keyboard-emulation device, this reader will not integrate.
