Single Keycap Upgrade

This individual metal keycap replaces one standard key on a mechanical keyboard. It fits Cherry MX, Kailh MX and other MX-style switches. The XDA profile keeps the top surface flat and uniform across the row. The gold finish adds a distinctive accent to a custom build.

Aluminium Alloy Construction

The keycap is machined from aluminium alloy and coloured with a dye process that resists fading. No legends are engraved, so the surface stays smooth and uninterrupted. At approximately 1.8 cm square it matches the footprint of a standard 1u key. The stem mounts directly onto any compatible MX cross stem.

Passive Thermal Behaviour

Metal conducts heat away from the fingertip, so the cap feels cool to the touch during long sessions. It adds negligible mass to the switch, leaving actuation force and sound signature essentially unchanged. No power draw or active cooling is involved. The dye layer remains stable under normal backlight temperatures.
