MS2130 4K HDMI capture card

The YINGHUA MS2130 is a compact KVM switch that captures HDMI video and audio, sending both streams to a computer over USB 3.0 for recording or live streaming. It targets creators, educators and gamers who need a portable, driver-free way to bring console or camera footage into software such as OBS or VLC.

Real USB 3.0 fast speed changes the workflow

USB 3.0 bandwidth enables 1080p 60fps YUY2 capture without the compression artefacts common on USB 2.0 devices. Plug-and-play operation across Windows, Android and macOS means no driver installs, while UVC and UAC compliance keeps the device recognised by VLC, OBS, Amcap, Wirecast, Vmix, Potplayer and other acquisition software.

Input up to 4K@30Hz, output capped at 1080p@60Hz

The HDMI input accepts resolutions up to 4K at 30 Hz and 24/30/36-bit deep colour, with cable runs up to 15 metres at 1080p using AWG26 cable. Output is limited to 1080p 60fps YUY2, so 4K passthrough or high-refresh 1440p capture are not supported. The unit draws all power from the USB port and operates from -10 to +55 °C, but a desktop i5-3400 or laptop i7-3537U 2.0 GHz plus a GT630-class GPU are the stated minimums for smooth preview and encoding.

Questions about this item

Will the MS2130 chipset or the HDMI port need replacement after heavy daily streaming?

The device has no moving parts and no user-serviceable components; the MS2130 chipset and HDMI port are solid-state and rated for continuous operation within the -10 to +55 °C range.

What limits 4K capture to 30 Hz instead of 60 Hz during long sessions?

The hardware encodes 4K input at a maximum of 30 Hz; output is fixed at 1080p 60 Hz YUY2, so the 30 Hz ceiling appears first and does not change with session length.

Does the capture card get hot or draw enough power to need a fan or external supply when running all day?

It draws power solely from the USB 3.0 port, has no fan, and operates within -10 to +55 °C without external power, so heat and power stay within the bus-powered envelope.
