  • Supplies ODD and HDD power in single assembly

Dell PowerEdge R430 SATA power cable

This YINGHUA cable supplies SATA power to four hard drives or optical drives inside a Dell PowerEdge R430 server. It replaces part numbers 9GKPP and 09GKPP and is sold new.

Four-drive SATA connector limit

The cable carries four SATA power connectors, so it cannot support a fifth drive without an additional cable. Builders needing more than four SATA power drops must source extra cables or a different power distribution assembly.

Questions about this item

What does the four-connector layout mean when installed in a PowerEdge R430?

The cable provides four SATA power plugs, letting you connect up to four SATA hard drives or optical drives directly from the server's power supply.

How does the SATA power interface limit what drives can be used?

SATA power delivers the standard voltages required by SATA HDDs and ODDs, so any drive with a SATA power connector will work within the cable's four ports.
