Questions about this item

How do I install the printhead belt on my Brother DCP-395C without damaging the carriage assembly?

Power off the printer, open the scanner unit, slide the carriage to the centre, loop the belt around the motor pulley and idler roller, then tension it so the teeth engage fully before closing the cover.

When should I expect to replace this printhead belt on a Brother DCP-J315W used for daily printing?

Replace the belt when print alignment drifts, unusual grinding noises appear, or the carriage stalls — typically after several thousand pages depending on workload.
