Questions about this item

How do I install the QY6-0050 printhead in my Canon iP6000D without damaging the ribbon cable?

Power off the printer, open the cover, wait for the carriage to centre, press the release lever, lift the old printhead straight up, align the new QY6-0050 contacts downwards, lower it flat until the lever clicks, then close the cover and run a head alignment.

When should I replace the QY6-0050 printhead in my i950D if black output becomes streaky?

Replace it when deep cleaning cycles no longer restore solid black text, because this unit only prints black and the nozzles cannot be unclogged once they are permanently blocked.
