PowerEdge R740 ODD cable

This YINGHUA R65DJ 0R65DJ cable connects the optical drive in a Dell PowerEdge R740 server. It carries both power and data signals in a single Gen 14 assembly. The part is new and matches the original equipment specification for the R740 chassis.

Suits R740 optical-drive installs

Technicians replacing a failed ODD cable or adding an optical drive to a PowerEdge R740 will use this harness. Builders working on other server models or needing a different generation cable should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What server model is required for the R65DJ 0R65DJ cable to connect an optical drive?

The cable is made for the PowerEdge R740 so the server chassis must be an R740 to use this optical drive power and data cable.

Can the R65DJ 0R65DJ cable be used with a PowerEdge R740 that already has an older optical drive installed?

Yes, the cable provides both power and data connections for an optical drive in a PowerEdge R740, so an existing drive that uses the same connectors will work.
