Converts Scart, S-video, composite AV and RCA sources to HDMI for connecting legacy devices to modern displays
This converter lets owners of DVD players, VCRs and other analogue sources connect to modern HDMI displays. It accepts Scart, S-video or composite RCA inputs and outputs a single HDMI signal with audio. The unit is powered by an included USB-to-DC cable so no separate mains adapter is required. Only one source can be active at a time.
Build quality is functional; the compact box has three input ports and one HDMI output with no selector switch or remote. Users must physically disconnect one cable before connecting another. The USB power lead draws from any spare port on the display or a charger. No upscaling or image enhancement is performed — the picture remains at the source resolution.
Devices launched in the 1980S such as the Commodore range will not work with this unit. RGB-mode Scart sources are also incompatible and require a different model. Testing confirms the PlayStation 1 fails over AV, Scart and S-video connections. Buyers needing multi-source switching, remote control or support for those legacy platforms should look elsewhere.

The SCART input works with composite and S-video signals only; RGB SCART sources are not supported.
Connect one source via SCART, S-video or composite RCA, feed HDMI to the display, and power the unit through the included USB-to-DC cable.
There is no switch or remote — only one source can be connected at a time, so disconnect the current device before plugging in another.
