Extends USB 2.0 signals up to 50 metres over Cat5e/6 cable while providing four hub ports for webcams, printers and other peripherals
This YINGHUA KVM switch extends USB 2.0 signals up to 50 metres over Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 Ethernet cable. It provides four USB 2.0 ports for webcams, printers, microphones, keyboards, mice or scanners. The transmitter requires a 5 V/1 A power supply and includes a UK plug. No driver installation is needed on Windows, Mac OS, Unix, Android or Linux systems.
The link supports up to 480 Mbps bandwidth, which is the maximum for USB 2.0. Signal quality depends on using solid-core Cat5e or better cable and staying within the 50 metre (165 ft) range. Longer runs or lower-grade cable will reduce reliability. The extender does not add bandwidth beyond the USB 2.0 standard.
Verify that each device you plan to connect works within USB 2.0 power and bandwidth limits. Confirm you have a suitable Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 cable run of 50 metres or less between the transmitter and receiver. Ensure a 5 V/1 A power source is available at the transmitter location. Devices requiring USB 3.0 speeds or higher power will not perform correctly.

The kit ships as one transmitter with four USB 2.0 ports and one receiver, so there is no multi-transmitter option to select.
480 Mbps is the shared USB 2.0 bandwidth limit; all four ports divide that throughput, so simultaneous high-bandwidth devices will share the pool.
Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 cable is recommended; the RJ45 link carries the USB signal up to 50 m (165 ft) with any of those categories.
