Two-metre braided USB-C cables

This two-pack supplies a pair of 6 ft USB-C to USB-C cables with a braided nylon jacket. Each cable carries a male connector on both ends and is rated for 5 A current at up to 20 V, delivering 100 W of power. The cables are intended for charging and data sync across phones, tablets, laptops and consoles. They do not support video output.

100 W power delivery rating

The single specification that determines suitability is the 100 W / 5 A power delivery capability, which requires a charger and device that both support USB Power Delivery at that level. Without a 100 W PD source the cable will still operate but at the lower rate negotiated by the host. Data transfer is limited to 480 Mbps.

Built-in E-Mark chip and compliance

An integrated E-Mark chip communicates the cable’s current-handling ability to the power source, enabling the full 100 W negotiation. The construction has passed a 48-hour salt-spray test and meets ROHS and REACH substance restrictions. These features protect the connected device’s battery and adapter during high-speed charging.

Questions about this item

What does the 100W rating mean when I plug this cable into my laptop?

The cable can deliver up to 100W of power, so a MacBook Pro 16" can reach roughly 50% charge in 30 minutes when paired with a 100W USB-C charger.

Which USB standard does the cable use and what does that limit in practice?

It operates at USB 2.0 speeds, capping data transfer at 480Mbps and providing no video output capability.

What physical space do I need to route the two 6ft braided cables?

Each cable is 6ft long with a braided nylon jacket, so allow enough slack for the combined 12ft length when routing behind a desk or in a bag.
