2 TB Magnetic Portable SSD

The Yottamaster PF20 is a 2 TB external solid-state drive with a magnetic back that snaps onto MagSafe iPhone 15 or 16 Pro Max models and includes a magnetic ring for other devices. It connects via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C and reaches up to 2000 MB/s when the host supports the 20 Gbps interface. The drive is plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.

Suits mobile creators needing direct 4K ProRes

Ideal for iPhone 15 or 16 Pro Max users who want to record 4K ProRes video straight to the drive without a secondary transfer step. The magnetic mount keeps the SSD secure while filming. Buyers who need more than 2 TB of capacity, who rely on Thunderbolt 10 Gbps speeds, or who use iPhone 14 and earlier without an OTG adapter should consider other options.

20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface

The single specification that decides fit is the host port: only a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection running at 20 Gbps with a matching cable delivers the advertised 2000 MB/s transfer rate. On Apple devices the Thunderbolt link caps throughput at 10 Gbps, and older USB ports will be slower. Verify your device has the required port before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the PF20-2T-BK-BP-US include a cable, or do I need to buy one separately?

The drive ships with a Type-C data cable, so no extra cable purchase is required for standard USB-C connections.

Which interface on my device will actually deliver the advertised 2000 MB/s on this PF20?

A USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port is needed for the full 2000 MB/s; Apple Thunderbolt ports limit the PF20 to 10 Gbps.

When recording 4K ProRes on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, will the PF20 keep up without dropping frames?

Yes, the PF20 supports real-time 4K ProRes recording on iPhone 15/16 Pro Max models at the drive’s rated speed.
