  • Uses NEC chipset for reliable USB 3.0 performance

Laptop ExpressCard USB 3.0 expansion

This 34mm ExpressCard adapter adds two USB 3.0 ports to laptops or desktops with a 34mm or 54mm ExpressCard slot. It uses a NEC controller chip and maintains backward compatibility with USB 1.1 Full-Speed and USB 2.0 High-Speed devices. The card provides a simple way to upgrade legacy systems with modern SuperSpeed connectivity.

Upgrade from USB 2.0 or missing ports

The adapter replaces slower USB 2.0 connections or fills the gap when a laptop has no spare USB ports. The jump is worth it when transferring large files to external drives or when connecting high-bandwidth peripherals that need USB 3.0 speeds. Buyers who need more than two added ports or an internal header connection should look elsewhere.
