zakotu MD10 Mini Body Camera

The zakotu MD10 is a thumb-sized video capturing device weighing 26 grams and measuring 65 by 32 by 22 millimetres. It records 1080p AVI footage through a 120° wide-angle lens and offers a 360° rotatable magnetic mount for hands-free POV capture during cycling, hiking or pet monitoring. A 0.85-inch display shows power level and recording status for quick framing checks.

512G storage headroom and 1080p limits

The unit supports microSD cards up to 512G, giving ample space for extended 1080p sessions before offloading via the USB 2.0 interface. Recording tops out at 1080p resolution, so users needing 4K or higher frame rates will hit a hard ceiling. The USB 2.0 link also caps transfer speed, making large card offloads slower than faster interfaces.

Upgrade path from basic action cams

This camera replaces older 720p or fixed-mount action cameras that lack a live preview screen or magnetic mounting flexibility. The jump is worth it when you need a wearable form factor with instant playback and 360° positioning on helmets, handlebars or clothing. Buyers who require 4K resolution, image stabilisation or waterproof housing without a separate case should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 1080p footage from the MD10 play smoothly on an older laptop that only has USB 2.0 ports?

The camera uses a USB 2.0 interface, so it connects directly to older ports for file transfer without extra adapters.

How can I confirm the 0.85-inch display is showing the correct recording status after I mount the camera?

The built-in screen shows real-time power levels and recording indicators, letting you verify framing and status at a glance.

Does the 512G MD10 come with a microSD card installed, or do I need to buy one separately?

The microSD slot is empty; a card is not included and must be purchased separately before recording.
