Compact Steel Chassis

The Zalman Cubix is a 17.1-litre steel enclosure that accepts Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX and DTX motherboards. It targets builders who want a small-footprint workstation or home-theatre PC without sacrificing standard ATX power-supply support. Buyers who need room for multiple 3.5-inch drives or a second graphics card will find the internal layout too restrictive.

Drive Capacity And GPU Clearance

One internal 3.5-inch bay and one 2.5-inch bay provide enough space for a boot SSD plus a bulk storage drive, but no further expansion is possible. Graphics cards up to 260 mm in length fit comfortably, while longer models exceed the available depth and cannot be installed. CPU coolers are limited to 137 mm in height, so taller tower designs will not clear the side panel.

Thermals Noise And Power Draw

A pre-installed 80 mm rear fan exhausts heat through the perforated front panel, and an optional 120 mm front fan can be added for extra intake. The open front mesh keeps airflow paths short, so typical office or media workloads run cool with low acoustic output. Power draw is dictated solely by the chosen components, as the case includes no supply of its own.

Questions about this item

Will a standard ATX power supply fit in this case alongside a Micro-ATX motherboard?

Yes, the chassis accepts standard ATX power supplies up to 140 mm long, mounted at the top, while still supporting Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX and DTX boards.

How can I confirm the pre-installed 80 mm rear fan is running after I build the system?

Connect the fan to a motherboard header or Molex adapter, power on the PC and verify the blade spins; the perforated front panel draws fresh air through the case past the GPU and CPU cooler.

Which drive brackets and front-panel cables are included, and what must I supply myself?

The box contains one internal 3.5-inch bay, one 2.5-inch bay, a pre-installed 80 mm rear fan, and front-panel USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio leads; you provide the power supply, motherboard, CPU cooler (up to 137 mm), GPU (up to 260 mm) and any additional 120 mm front fan.
