Ultra-Rugged Cordless 2D Scanner

The Zebra DS3678-SR0F003VZWW is a handheld, cordless barcode scanner built for standard-range 1D and 2D capture in harsh industrial environments. It reads codes from near contact up to 1.5 m away using a Standard Range 2D imager. The green housing meets ultra-rugged specifications for warehouse and manufacturing floors. A 3100 mAh PowerPrecision+ Li-Ion battery powers the device.

Scanner-Only Package Requires Separate Cradle

This unit ships as the scanner only with no cable, cradle or power supply included. Those accessories are sold separately and must be sourced to charge the battery and communicate with the host system. The scanner accepts host power from 4.5 to 5.5 VDC or an external supply from 11.4 to 12.6 VDC. Decoding covers common 1D symbologies such as Code 39, Code 128 and UPC/EAN plus 2D formats including PDF417, DataMatrix and QR.

Suited for Warehouse Workers Needing Mobility

Workers who need untethered scanning across aisles or stations will benefit from the cordless design and rugged build. Operations that already own compatible Zebra cradles and cables can deploy this scanner immediately. Buyers who need an all-in-one kit with charging hardware should look elsewhere. Environments requiring extended-range scanning beyond 1.5 m or a corded connection will not be served by this model.

Questions about this item

How long does the PowerPrecision+ 3100 mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery hold a charge during continuous scanning?

The 3100 mAh Li-Ion battery is designed to last through a full shift of intensive scanning; exact runtime varies with scan frequency, radio activity and temperature.

What limits scan distance first when the DS3678-SR is used non-stop at maximum range?

Standard Range 2D Imager decoding drops off beyond 1.5 m; sustained long-range reads are constrained by the 15% minimum print contrast ratio and ambient lighting.

How hot or loud does the green rugged housing get after an eight-hour warehouse shift?

The scanner has no fan; the rugged enclosure stays near ambient temperature and operates silently, with only a brief decode beep on each successful scan.
