Outdoor Cat6a coupler for IP cameras and CCTV

This three-pack of female-to-female RJ45 couplers is rated IP68 for dust and water protection. Each unit accepts standard Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5e or Cat5 patch cables and extends the link without soldering or crimping. The PA66 housing and Nylon 66 construction resist temperature extremes and mechanical shock in permanent outdoor installations.

Cat6a bandwidth ceiling and shield limits

The Cat6a specification supports up to 10 Gbps at 500 MHz across the coupler. Gold-plated contacts and a metal-shielded body reduce signal loss and electromagnetic interference. Performance cannot exceed the lowest-rated cable in the chain, so a Cat5 segment will cap throughput at its own maximum. The short 3.23-inch profile keeps the joint compact but does not increase the channel budget.

Tool-free sealing with a torque warning

Installation requires no tools: insert both terminated cables, then tighten the supplied waterproof rings and caps to engage the IP68 seal. Over-tightening the caps can deform the gaskets and compromise the seal, so hand-tighten only. The package includes three couplers and an 18-month support period; no additional gaskets or cable glands are supplied.
