ZhiYo 8.2ft Self-Adhesive PVC Cord Cover

This 8.2ft black PVC cord cover manages cables on smooth floors, walls and carpet using the included self-adhesive backing and hook fastener strips. It suits home offices, commercial spaces and anyone needing a low-profile way to hide one thick power cord or two smaller wires such as Cat6 or Cat5 Ethernet cables.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The cover is a passive PVC channel with no electrical components, so it generates no heat, draws no power and produces no noise during normal use. The 0.06in thickened wall protects enclosed wires from foot traffic while keeping the profile low enough to reduce tripping hazards on carpet or hard flooring.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous foot traffic the soft yet durable PVC resists dirt and is easier to clean than nylon alternatives. The adhesive and hook-fastener mounting allow the channel to be repeatedly opened or closed for cable changes without leaving residue, and the 98.4in length can be cut to custom sizes for long-term layout adjustments.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 2.17 in wide cover to carpet without the adhesive peeling up?

Stick the supplied hook fastener to the back of the 0.1 in thick PVC channel, then press the fastener onto the carpet pile; the adhesive film stays on the cover, not the floor.

When will the self-adhesive backing need replacing if the cover is opened daily?

The backing is designed for repeated opening and closing without leaving residue; replace the tape or hook fastener only when grip noticeably weakens.

At what point does heat from a coiled 1.18 in inner-width extension cord become a problem?

The 0.06 in thickened PVC wall insulates up to normal household current; avoid sustained loads that make the cord itself hot to the touch.
