Big Boy RC Train 4014

The ZITIANYOUBUILD MOC-19554 is a large-scale building set that recreates the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive as a remote-controlled model. It uses interlocking plastic bricks compatible with major brands and includes Power Functions motor kits for movement. The set is designed for adult builders and advanced hobbyists who appreciate detailed railway engineering.

Suited for display builders and RC enthusiasts

This kit appeals to collectors who want a motorised centrepiece and to builders comfortable with complex, multi-step assembly using PDF instructions. It is less appropriate for younger children seeking a quick build, for anyone who prefers physical paper manuals, or for buyers who want a ready-to-run model without construction.

Sustained play and display stability

Under continuous motorised operation the ABS bricks hold alignment securely and the motor kit maintains consistent drive without overheating during extended runs. The tight clutch power keeps the heavy locomotive intact on curves and straight track sections alike, making it reliable for long exhibition periods or repeated play sessions.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate Power Functions battery box and receiver to run the motor kits on the 4014 Big Boy RC Train?

Yes, the motor kits require a Power Functions battery box and receiver, which are not included in the set.

Will the bricks in this MOC-19554 set connect securely with the LEGO pieces I already own?

The bricks are made from ABS plastic and are 100% compatible with LEGO, designed to hold tightly together with major brand pieces.

How can I confirm the app-enabled control is working after I finish building the 4014 Big Boy?

Pair the app with the Power Functions receiver; the motor should respond to throttle and direction commands on screen.
