Purpose and fit

The Zivif Z-SP7W is a 7 W monocrystalline solar panel built to keep 5 V rechargeable battery cameras running during daylight. It ships with a USB-C to 3.5×1.35 mm DC adapter so it fits cameras that use that specific barrel plug. The kit is not compatible with Ring, Arlo, Blink, Wyze OG or Wyze v3 models, nor with plug-in wired cameras.

Thermals noise and power

The panel delivers its rated 7 W output in direct sunlight and operates between −5 °C and 120 °C. With no moving parts it runs silently and adds no electrical load beyond the camera it charges. An IP65 rating means rain and dust will not interrupt operation, though the surface should be wiped clean periodically for best yield.

Build and daily use

The white housing measures 8.4 × 5.78 × 0.78 in and weighs 0.39 kg. A 360° rotatable wall bracket and screw kit let you angle the panel toward the sun on any vertical surface. A 7.2 ft cable reaches most mounting spots, and included cable clips keep the run tidy. Remember to seal the camera’s charging port against moisture after connecting the adapter.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the panel and which step is often missed?

Drill holes, attach the 360° wall bracket with the supplied screws, then aim the panel at direct sunlight; the step people miss is sealing the camera's charging port against water ingress.

What ongoing maintenance does the panel need?

Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth regularly to remove dust and debris so the monocrystalline cells keep delivering 7W.

What is the first limit reached during continuous outdoor use?

The operating temperature ceiling of 120 is the first hard limit; beyond that the panel cannot function.
